Why Ninja Warrior Classes Are Great for Kids


One of the most unique things The Fitness Equation offers in our family gym is a Ninja Warrior course designed for kids! If you go back to the corners of your mind when you were in elementary or middle school, you may remember that there is nothing you would rather do as a child than climb ropes, jump hurdles, cross monkey bars, and compete. with friends. Our Ninja Warrior course gives children the opportunity to do all of the above in a creative, challenging and safe environment.

Whether it's closer to our Asheville or Chantilly location, our facilities offer courses where children can participate in open play hours or scheduled classes and imitate physical activities from the popular American Ninja Warrior television series. GREATER FOCUS AND CONCENTRATION

We all know that children can be a little giddy at times, which is not always a bad thing! However, if you are looking for a fun way to increase your child's concentration, Ninja Warrior classes are a great way to go. The obstacles are difficult enough to demand your full attention as you try to successfully complete different sections of the course. Practicing the ability to avoid distractions in a fun environment can carry over into other areas of life, such as the classroom.

GREATER FLEXIBILITY

If your child loves playing sports and wants to become a better athlete, lifting weights or running excessively can sometimes be dangerous for their developing bodies. Activities like gymnastics and Ninja Warrior training are great for promoting flexibility, eliminating awkward movements by giving your muscles and joints a wider range of motion.

IMPROVED BALANCE

Between the ages of 8 and 15, children will see the most dramatic growth difference of their entire lives. Because they are constantly working with longer limbs and bigger hands and feet each year, their coordination and balance can suffer. Ninja Warrior classes are a great way to help children develop confidence in controlling their own bodies and maintaining stability while crossing balance beams or jumping from one object to another.

GREATER BODY CONTROL AND SPACE AWARENESS

Spatial awareness, or knowledge of objects in relation to oneself, is an essential aspect of almost all sports. In basketball, an important component is being aware of how far you are from the basket when you throw the ball. The same could be said for soccer, tennis, baseball, and others. The Ninja Course Obstacles require children to understand where the obstacles are in relation to their bodies and how they must move their bodies to overcome that obstacle.

GREATER STRENGTH

Developing a strong core strength is like building a solid foundation for your child. From an early age, improving core strength can promote good posture and better motor skills. As easy as a ninja warrior course may sound, climbing the pillars, jumping over obstacles, and balancing on the rings requires great core strength and will also work muscle areas that you wouldn't expect. It's no surprise that the best Ninja Warrior athletes we see on television have some of the strongest core strengths in the world.
